Cades Partner, Rhonda L. Griswold, accepted the Public Service Award at the 14th Annual All Class Reunion on Friday, October 27, 2017 hosted by the University of Hawai‘i’s William S. Richardson School of Law Alumni Association. The Public Service Award recipient, as selected by Law School Dean Aviam “Avi” Soifer, is an alumnus or alumna who has contributed substantially to the Law School and University, the Hawai‘i Bar, and/or the broader Hawai‘i community through their volunteer service.
Rhonda helps write and produce a musical political satire for the Annual Hawaii Women’s Legal Foundation fundraiser. She has also represented Hawaiian Humane Society pro bono for years and also served on the Legacy Committee of the American Red Cross, Hawai‘i Chapter.
Past recipients of the Public Service Award include Professors Calvin Young (1985), Melody MacKenzie (1976), and Kapua Sproat (1998), and attorneys Keith Amemiya (1991), Stephen P. Duck (2002), Rosemary T. Fazio (1978), Angela J. Lovitt (1997) and Della Au Belatti (2004).
