Cades Schutte partner Nate Yang will be leading a financial literacy workshop at the Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals (YP) Cost of Living Summit on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach. Nate will be speaking on “Growing Your Money: Learn how you can best save and invest your money.”
The Cost of Living Summit will bring together over 150 young professionals, policymakers, and community leaders for a full-day conference to tackle one of the biggest issues affecting Millennials and Gen Zers: the high cost of living in Hawai‘i.
Much of the Cost of Living Summit will focus on solutions to make Hawai‘i more affordable for the next generation, given the continued trend of young adults leaving the islands (since 2017, 24.3% of Hawai‘i’s outmigration has been individuals 25-34 years old despite this group only making up 13.8% of the state’s population). The Pre-Summit Financial Literacy Workshops will provide young professionals and select high school students with crucial information and skills to help them remain in Hawai‘i.
